2015 was a great year for new tools and features in Office 365 Education. I thought it would be a good time to look at some of what was rolled out to schools and colleges.
Advanced Features added for free (September 2015)
In addition to the basic services—Office Online, 1TB of OneDrive storage, Exchange email and Skype—free Office 365 Education now includes advanced features such as:
• Legal hold and eDiscovery to help you find, preserve, analyze and package electronic content for a legal request or investigation. This capability spans across email, documents and instant messaging.
• Rights Management Services, which prevents file-level access without the right user credentials.
• Data Loss Prevention to help you identify, monitor and protect sensitive information in your organization.
OneNote
Handwriting in OneNote for iPad and OCR everywhere
Audio recording in OneNote for Mac and the OneNote web app is now available.
OneNote Staff Notebook
In addition to the fantastic OneNote Class Notebook, the OneNote Staff Notebook was released and made available to teachers and other staff worldwide.

Sway
Sway has now been rolled out to Office 365 Education users.
As well as the web version, there are now apps for iPhone, iPad and Windows 10
Clutter
A new tool in Exchange to help you focus on important messages in your mailbox.
People who use Clutter save 82 minutes per month on average!
